Electrical Conductivity

(Soil texture, moisture, salinity and elevation)

This data is the central component of our Zone Management Program.

Electric Conductivity (EC) is a measurement based on several soil properties, including:

• Soil Texture
• Topsoil Depth
• Soil Moisture
• Salt Content

As part of this service, we will determine grade elevations using our GPS system’s survey-grade Real Time Kinematic (RTK) functionality. This will allow us to build a top-grade topography model that maps out the high spots and low spots in your fields.

Using this information, we create a detailed map that will guide our variable rate strategy. This service only needs to be performed once on each field and (unlike yield data or imagery) is not affected by weather-related factors.
